SUNFLOWER GUN CLUB -  2007 MEETING Minutes

 

• The 2007 Sunflower Gun Club meeting was held Friday February 9^th and was called to order by Fred Stroot at 6:00PM .

• Larry Kincheloe read the financials.  Summary of financial information is as follows:

2006 Financial Statement

Income – Dues (140 members)	$5,600.00
Income -- Skeet Revenue	$5,650.66
Total Income	$15,057.12
EXPENSES:
Lease:	$1,850.00
Insurance & Association fee:	$575.00
Board and annual meetings:	$811.59
Misc.: memorial fund	$105.90
Repairs to bldg & grounds:	$4,031.00
Office Supplies & misc.:	$283.51
Shooting supplies – ROCK (2 pallets on hand)	$2,906.85

Balance as of 01-01-07	$4,493.27
1 pallet of rock on hand to start the 2007 season.

 

• Motion to accept the financials was passed as read.

• Last year’s minutes were read and accepted as read.

• Motion passed unanimously to keep the officers the same for this year.

• Lease goes up in 08 to $2k through 2013.

OLD BUSINESS

• Rifle bench seats need to be rebuilt. Some of the officers will take on the rework.

• Stickers need to be sprayed this year. Fred will take care of this.

• The road need to have a brush hog run down the sides to clean up the weeds.

• Berms need to be raised and dirt added. Motion passed to allow the officers to use their discretion to have repairs contracted. If anyone knows someone with a front loader please let the officer’s know.

NEW BUSINESS

• We discussed using one Saturday this year to host a youth / women’s new shooter day. Limited to members friends and family. Motion passed to allow the officer’s to look into sponsors and try and organize the event. If this comes together we will post an update on the website.

• Shooting card cost per round was discussed and the motion to drop the cost per round back to last years level failed by slim margin.

Miscellaneous  

• We have a website where all our members can go to review our rules and catch up on any breaking news. Members can also print out a copy of our club Release of Risk form for their guests to sign prior to taking them out to the club to shoot. Shotgun shooters have these forms available and on hand. It is the member’s responsibility to assure that their guests have signed this release. www.geocities.com/sunflowergunclub.

Membership payment of $40.00 is due NOW. 

New cards will be mailed out before the first of April and the gate combination will be changed by no later than April 1^st. 

Membership renewal will be CLOSED the end of February and any membership not renewed by then will be dropped.
